9th World Forum for Democracy – “Can Democracy Save the Environment?”
The 9th World Forum for Democracy responded to world events. From November 2020 to November 2021 discussions took place online, giving us a chance to share throughout the year via webinars, online discussions and – when conditions permitted it – face to face.
Never before has it been so crucial to apply the principles of democracy to the environment. Each month touched on a different topic, culminating in November 2021.
Officially launching on 18 November 2020, the World Forum for Democracy brought together intellectuals, politicians, activists, experts and young people from around the world to discuss responses to the environmental crisis over a whole year leading up to the live Forum event that was held in Strasbourg from 8 to 10 November 2021.
Symbiosis-School of Political Studies in Greece organised within this framework the satellite event Webinars on “Can Democracy Save the Environment?” during November-December 2020 and participated in the live Forum in Strasbourg from 8 to 10 November 2021.
